Hey Jaden,
It was great to hear from you, thanks for the letter. This first week of school has been very busy so far. I've really enjoyed my my Public Relations classes; they are very interesting and I feel like I am learning a lot. You were saying that you didn't understand a lot about what Public Relations was about or what I would be doing with my degree. Well to try and keep it as simple as I can, basically I will be working with a company, or companies, to help them adapt to the changes in society, culture, and technology.
That probably sounds like something right out of a text book. Honestly, what I am seeking to use my degree for is to find a position within a company where I can express my opinions about where the company should look for sources of public exposure and further promote the products they provide. Obviously the world of technology is changing almost daily, I would be working hand in hand with companies on how to understand and utilize new technologies to their adantage.
There is one more piece of Public Relations that is very interesting to me and one that I will seek to utilize with my degree: working with a non-profit organization. This could be a very rewarding aspect of Public Relations, being able to help an organization get established within the public and community seeking to benefit others who are in need or seeking information. My degree would allow me to know how to effectively and efficiently help such organizations become recognizable ot the public and what they are seeking to achieve.
Once again I probably sound a bit like a text book. To better help you konw more about the field of Public Relations and all that it encompasses, here are a few links to websites that will give you more information that what I have given you within this letter.

It was great hearing from you. I hope that this shed at least a little light on what it is that I am going to school for and what I am seeking to accomplish once I have obtained my degree.
Love you J,
Couper

Spelling...not my strong point
"I have a spelling checker;
It came with my PC.
It plainly marks four my revue
Miss steaks eye can not sea.
I've run this poem threw it.
I'm shore your pleased too no
Its letter perfect inn it's weigh
My checker tolled me sew."
This is a poem that my Professor gave out as part of his syllabus!
The point of the poem certianly hit home with me, as many of you know spelling can be one of my biggest struggles. I am going to read through everything twice and do my best to check my spelling.

The Beginning
Howdy!
Welcome to my newest undertaking and creation. I will admit that it is an assignment for me to create and manage a blog, yet it is something that I have wanted to do for quite some time now. Suppose it simply took the proper motivation of my professors grading me on it to create proper motivation. Im not sure what all I will be posting or writing about, though i hope that it will be something of interest for more than just myself and those required to read it! Im am always open to discussion and opinions about my own personal view and statements. I believe that being open with others and listening to there points of view is the only way to learn and understand more than just what he have been raised and taught to understand. If any of you feel as though I have thick blinders on with my own personal views and ideas...feel free to express your ideas and opinions to me. "Understanding" can only be gained be precieving and object at all angles.
Here is to the creation of my blog!
